This Muslim's only prayer

Oh how I wished for that moment to last forever,
Finally, her and I together, 
Hopefully one day forever.
Don't know if this want, this longing is love or whatever,
All I know is that I'll be her's forever.

And if forever is too short a time,
And if forever is too mortal a creature,
And if forever is too finite a thing.

Know that my love for her is eternal,
It knows no bounds,
It is there in my heart all around.

She is my Jerusalem,
A prize men die for.
Radiant, beautiful, holy, she is.
This Muslim's only prayer, she is.

I pray to God in the heavens above,
Love is all I have for her, only Love.
You know what's been in my heart all along.

So please make for me a day where I sing to her this song.

A failure and a heartbreak

Before Friday the 26th of April 2024 never in the entirety of my 23 years of exsistence on the face of this planet earth had I ever academically failed a subject. When all's said and done

There are some heartbreaks that don’t burn - they linger. They don’t scream - they hum. And they don’t kill you - but they change you in such fundamental ways, you find yourself walking around with a different gait, speaking slower, sleeping less. Months ago, I was in love with someone I genuinely believed I’d spend my life with. She didn’t just break my heart - she vanished . No explanation, no conversation.
