Walking through hell days 5&6 -Kaun tha

Yesterday was pretty boring mainly because the gym was closed and I honestly didn't have a whole lot to do and so I spent most of the day going through old stuff and boy oh boy was a flood of memories unleashed.

I came across 2 pictures that are especially close to my heart. The first is a picture from my first day at LGS JT. It shows a hardly 16 year old timid me sitting in a corner, wondering how I ended up here.

I am the third person from the left in the third row from bottom up

The second picture was taken a year or so later, in March of 2018 if memory serves me right. It shows a far more confident 17 year old me a month away from smashing his A levels. Oh simple days where have you gone?

I am standing in the third row from bottom up

Me getting into JT wasn't a small feat and had it not been for the generous scholarship I had won, purely on the basis of my outstanding O level results (6A*s,5As, 1B with 2 distinctions), I don't think my parents could ever have afforded to send me to JT. The Lahore Grammar School has traditionally been a rival to the Aitchison College and has historically far outperformed it across all spheres.

I hate to say this now but during my time as a student at JT I loathed being there. JT was, amongst the A levels circuit in Lahore, known rather infamously as the JT Jail. Trust me I'd much rather spend a hundred years imprisoned in that jail than spend a day elsewhere. Guess passenger was right in saying "only miss the sun when it starts to snow".

I miss JT.

I miss the old me.

That's enough about yesterday, today I went to the gym and ran my fastest ever km. Physically I am once again exhausted and broken but yeah I feel good. I am going to start CNS today and hopefully end it in a couple of days time. Wish me luck.

🌙It is beautiful isn't it?
